St Anne's church is the Church of England parish church for the villages of Shevington, Standish Lower Ground and Crooke, on the outskirts of Wigan.
Worship takes place at the church every Sunday and Thursday and also at the Worship Centre at St Anne's School, Standish Lower Ground on the 1st, 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month. (See 'the worship' on the Home Page for times of services).
You are warmly invited to join us for any of our services or events. (see 'Diary for the month' on the Home Page for times and venues). There is disabled access and a loop system for the hard of hearing.
We have recently been awarded 'Child Friendly' status by Blackburn Diocese and are seeking to develop our work with families and children. The vicar regularly goes into all the local primary schools to take assembles and the schools visit the church several times a year.
St Anne's church has recently been refurbished so not only will you receive a warm welcome, but a comfortable one too.
